Dental Care at Hoskins Medical Center

We are one of the dental  providers in Laurel County that accept Medicaid and Medicare advantages plans along with most private insurances.  We provide cleanings, deep cleanings, restorations, root canals, crowns, and consults for dentures.

Our Dental Care that consists of dental medicine and oral medicine, is focused on the health of a patient’s teeth, gums, and mouth. Oral health affects the overall wellbeing of any person, since infanthood and childhood, until the end of our lives. It is therefore of the utmost importance to take proper care of our mouth and teeth, with care to prevent annoying diseases and painful situations.

Our Dental Procedures

Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable. However, there are many denture designs, some of which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants.

Dental Extraction

A dental extraction (also referred to as tooth extraction, exodontia, exodontics, or informally, tooth pulling) is the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.

Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening or tooth bleaching is the process of lightening the color of human teeth. Whitening is often desirable when teeth become yellowed over time for a number of reasons, and can be achieved by changing the intrinsic or extrinsic color of the tooth enamel

Dental Crown & Caps

In dentistry, a crown or a dental cap is a type of dental restoration that completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. A crown may be needed when a large dental cavity threatens the health of a tooth. A crown is typically bonded to the tooth by dental cement.

Dental Bonding

Adhesive dentistry is a branch of dentistry which deals with adhesion or bonding to the natural substance of teeth, enamel and dentin

Veneers

A Veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth. Veneers can improve the aesthetics of a smile and protect the tooth’s surface from damage. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer: composite and dental porcelain.

Bridges

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth definitively to adjacent teeth or dental implants.

Dental Restoration

Dental restoration, dental fillings, or simply fillings are treatments used to restore the function, integrity, and morphology of missing tooth structure resulting from caries or external trauma as well as to the replacement of such structure supported by dental implants.

Teeth Cleaning

Teeth cleaning is part of oral hygiene and involves the removal of dental plaque from teeth with the intention of preventing cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease.

Root Canal

A root canal is the naturally occurring anatomic space within the root of a tooth. It consists of the pulp chamber, the main canal, and more intricate anatomical branches that may connect the root canals to each other or to the surface of the root.
